Cascade Effect
The community at Cascades on Clyde is about to take an exciting step in its journey: construction of the final stage of the lake and surrounding wetlands is swinging into action.
So far, about one-third of the estate’s lake has been built.
Development manager Tony Rogers said the wetlands would transform the state and deliver a tranquil atmosphere.
“I’m confident this 15-hectare park, with its water and surrounding parkland, gardens and pathways will become a focal point for residents to socialise with family and friends.’’
The first waterside lots were released earlier this month.
GEO Property Group has developed and sold about 600 lots and many families have already moved into the estate.
Eventually the estate will be home to more than 1000 families.
‘‘We are often told by people who move here that they want the best of modern convenience in a beautiful environment,” Mr Rogers said.
The wetlands, which will cover 15 hectares, will provide plenty of open space for families to have a picnic or barbecue or just relax and enjoy the playground and walking tracks.
The Clyde location provides easy access to the Monash Freeway and EastLink.
“I expect these new premium lots to move very quickly,” Mr Rogers said.
“Every site here will have recycled water so residents can wash their cars and tend their gardens year-round, even when the rest of Melbourne is facing serious water restrictions.”
Then there will be access to high-speed broadband with smart wiring to ensure that a flick of a switch can deliver the Telstra Velocity network.
The Cascades on Clyde display village featuring many of Melbourne’s leading builders is open from noon-5pm. It’s on Linsell Boulevard off Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Clyde.
